For 29 years, Grafic Encadrement has been passionately associated with the Festival International de Peinture de Magné, sharing with the event the same demand for quality, artistic flair and showcasing of works. For this 37ᵉ edition, this loyal partnership continues, illustrating the strong link that unites this Niort-based company specialising in framing with the local and national art scene.
Located on Place du Temple in Niort, Grafic Encadrement is much more than just a framing shop - it's also a genuine gallery and a workshop for restoring works of art. Founded 34 years ago, the shop was taken over 3 years ago by Xavier Tabouret, a framer for 35 years and heir to a family tradition. A passionate craftsman, Xavier is now the embodiment of the second generation of framers, perpetuating a rare craft that requires no formal training and is passed down exclusively from master to apprentice.
At Grafic, every frame is tailor-made. Whether it's a painting, a drawing, an old piece of paper, a piece of clothing or an unusual object, Xavier will guide you with precision and sensitivity. He chooses the materials and harmonises the colours and styles, always respecting the integrity of the work. Thanks to a collection of 1,200 frame models and his expertise, he can meet the most varied of requests, with an acute sense of detail and a concern for adapting to all budgets.
Grafic Encadrement is also the only art restoration workshop of its kind in the region, bringing together a group of 17 specialist craftsmen to restore canvases, antique frames, paper, drawings, statuettes and other works of art for both private individuals and cultural institutions. Our clientele is national in scope, a testament to the seriousness and reputation of this venue.
Finally, Grafic is a lively gallery in the heart of Niort. For several years now, artists from the Deux-Sèvres and Vendée have been exhibiting and selling their work here. A relationship of trust has developed with well-known names such as Franck Ayroles, Jean-François Moreau and Daniel Doutre, a member of the jury at the Magné Festival. Recently enlarged, the gallery now features a new artist every month.
