Guest of Honour at the International Festival of Paint from Magné 2026
The Magné International Painting Festival is particularly pleased to welcome Christoff Debusschere as Guest of Honour at its 2026 event.
Born in Paris in 1962, Christoff Debusschere is one of the leading figures in contemporary French figurative painting. Trained under Philippe Lejeune, founder of the École d’Étampes, over the years he has developed a body of work deeply rooted in light, atmosphere and the poetry of reality.
Through his landscapes, seascapes, urban scenes and snapshots of everyday life, the artist invites us to take a sensitive look at the world around us. His work is characterised by great technical mastery, a subtle palette and a remarkable ability to capture the emotion of a place or a moment.
Having received numerous prestigious awards, including the Gold Medal at the Salon des Artistes Français and the Taylor Prize, Christoff Debusschere is now recognised as one of the most talented exponents of French figurative painting.
His presence in Magné is a special occasion for artists, art lovers and the general public. Throughout the festival, visitors will have the opportunity to explore his artistic world, admire several of his works and chat with a painter whose career has inspired many creators.
