Born in 1944, Jean-Marie Zacchi is a graduate of the École
supérieure des arts modernes de Paris. Right from the start, his talent was noticed at the Salon des Artistes Français at the Grand Palais. He has been the official painter of the French Army since 1991 and of the French Navy since 2003, and has also been awarded prestigious distinctions such as the Légion d'honneur and the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
